What is permanent jewelry?
Also referred to as forever jewelry, endless chain, zapped jewelry, or welded bracelets, permanent jewelry is a unique way to honor any commitment you might be making whether to a loved one or yourself.
How does it work?
We use a high-quality arc welding machine. Unlike soldering, there is no flame, just a tiny spark which presents no danger to you.
We customize the chain length to fit your wrist, link the two chain ends with a tiny jump ring, and then weld it closed. This means there is no clasp! However, if at any point you need to remove it, you can clip the jump ring with scissors. We can always reattach it for you later.
"Permanent" does not mean it won't break. Just like any other piece of fine jewelry it is vulnerable to daily wear & tear and should be treated with care in order to guarantee it lasts a long, long time. Please read our POLICIES before booking.
We offer a curated selection of fine 14k gold, gold filled and sterling silver chains and 14k charms & links. Some 14k chains come in yellow or white. (See price sheet for specific details.)
POLICY
• We can weld 1-3 chains in 30 minutes. 4-6 chains in 1 hour. 6-8 chains in 90 minutes.If you're looking to get more than 8 chains, you will need to book appointments back to back.
• All charms and links are subject to availability. If you are interested in a specific charm, please let us know & we will set aside for you! Contact us at info@winifredgrace.com
• If your bracelet breaks or stretches we can repair it! Just email us at info@winifredgrace.com with details.
• If at any point you have to remove your bracelet it can be clipped off with scissors, and we can welded back on at a later date. (This may or may not require a fee.)
• Age minimum is 8 years old.
• We currently only offer permanent bracelets and anklets.
• Permanent Jewelry is custom-fitted and therefore FINAL SALE.

CARE
If you'd like to clean your chain, you can use a polishing cloth or mild soap with water and a soft toothbrush. Lightly brush the chain and pat to dry.
Try to avoid pulling on your chain as this can lead to stretching or breaking. As with any piece of fine jewelry, treat it with care and it should last a long time.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases with us, but we get it. Sometimes things just aren't quite right. We're here to help by making an exchange quick and easy.
We accept returns:
• within 14 days of the original purchase for most items (see details below).
• for either exchange or receive a store credit. Store credit does not expire.
• but no refunds
We offer free return shipping. We are not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during return shipping. We do not refund original shipping cost.

JEWELRY
All the jewelry we carry is created by hand with care. Slight variations can be expected from time to time, but if you feel that the piece you've ordered isn't quite what you thought we accept returns:
• within 14 days of the original purchase
• for either exchange or receive a store credit. Store credit does not expire.
• with no returns or exchanges on custom or altered pieces
• with no refunds
APPAREL + HOME
Eligible apparel/home items (unworn, unwashed, unaltered and with original tags attached) must be postmarked (or returned in store) within 14 days of original purchase date, for exchange or store credit.
All beauty/apothecary items, including fragrances, oils, soaps and candles, are final sale.
VINTAGE
Vintage and custom items are Final Sale.

What is permanent jewelry?

We offer a limited variety of solid 14k gold, 14k gold-filled and sterling silver chains for you to choose from.
If you want to personalize your bracelet, choose from our selection of charms which can easily be added.
Once we customize the chain length to fit your wrist or ankle,
we then connect the two ends with a tiny jump ring and weld it closed.
Because it is welded, this means there is no clasp.
However, if at any point you decide you no longer wish to wear the bracelet, it can be easily clipped off.
How long does it take?
We can service 1-3 people in a 30-minute time period; 4-6 people in an hour.
If you have more than 6 people please book 2 appointments back to back.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
No problem! You can cancel or reschedule by clicking the link in your confirmation email.
What if I am exposed to COVID-19?
If you test positive for COVID-19 please reschedule your appointment.
What metals do you offer?
Our chains and add-ons are available in 14k solid yellow, rose, and white gold, 14k gold-filled or sterling silver options.
What happens if my bracelet breaks or stretches?
If your bracelet breaks or stretches we can repair it for a fee. If it is broken or stretched beyond repair,
you will need to purchase a new bracelet.
If you have a permanent bracelet or anklet from a different store that needs repair, we may be able fix it for you for a $15 fee.
Email info@winifredgrace.com with a photo and we will let you know if it's possible.
What if I have to remove my bracelet
If at any point you have to remove your jewelry for any reason (MRI, surgery, sports), it can be clipped off with scissors or clippers.
Don't worry, we can always weld it back on for a re-welding fee.
Is it dangerous?
Nope!
We use a high-quality arc welding machine and an experienced welder to perform the service.
Unlike soldering, there is no flame, just a tiny spark.
Is there an age requirement?
This procedure is safe for anyone 10 and older.
